As part of the West Humber Naturalists' Christmas Bird Count Art Needles and I
covered the area around the Sustainable House and the Interpretive Centre.  We
had a flock of 200 Cedar Waxwings near the Sustainable House just east of the
main parking lot and in it were 6 Bohemian Waxwings.  We had another flock of
about 50 Cedar Waxwings with about a dozen Bohemians on the feeder trail north
of the Interpretive Centre and a flock of 90 Bohemians and 2 Cedars just east
of the Interpretive Centre, all before 9:30 a.m. today.
The main entrance to the Kortright Conservation Area is on the west side of
Pine Valley Drive between Major Mackenzie Drive and Rutherford Road.
