Hi Ontbirders, Yesterday, Kim Toews and I made a trip out to the Hilda Road feeders, where we observed at least one Hoary Redpoll mixed in with all of the Commons. On the way home we stopped at Watson's Mill in Manotick, where we located a Northern Pintail mixed in with all of the Mallards.

Brendan Toews Directions to Watson's Mill courtesy of Neily World: From Highway 416 (The Veteran's Memorial Highway) take exit 57 (Bankfield Road) and turn northeast on it. Follow Bankfield 4.0 km northeast to Rideau Valley Drive/Main Street, then turn right or southeast onto Main Street. Go 0.3 km to Bridge Street and turn left or ENE onto it. Drive 0.2 km to Dickinson Street and turn right or southeast onto it. There is parking near the old mill on the right for the Watson's Mill site in Manotick. Directions to Hilda Road feeders courtesy of Neily World: from Highway 417 (The Queensway) take exit 134 (Moodie Drive). If travelling west, the 0.4 km offramp dumps you right or north onto Moodie. If driving east,a 0.3 km offramp brings you to Moodie Drive, where you will turn left or north onto it and in 0.5 km join the westbound offramp traffic. Both groups will now follow Moodie Drive north 1.3 km from here to Carling Avenue. Turn left or northwest on Carling and go 2.2 km to Rifle (Range)Road. Turn right or north onto Rifle Road and travel 1.7 km to Lois Avenue (should have been Lane).
