At Morningside Park [west side Morningside Avenue .5 km South of Ellesmere Rd
in Scarborough]
a woodland feeding station this am, yielded the usual species but also a
Red-bellied Woodpecker -
which has become a permanent feature - allowed some splendid views.

At Reesor Pond this am, and new to the pond, a Common Raven flew over, at which
5 crows
unhappy with his presence, kept their distance. Over 500 Canadas were settled
on the ice -
considering themselves coyote proof - I suppose.

Close to home - a Snow Bunting - a species never before seen in fifty years at
my feeders -
showed up for five minutes - here within the town of Markham.

But one Snow Bunting doth not a Summer make - never mind Spring or at -13C
