Greetings Ontbirders,

The immature male King Eider was still in Cobourg Harbour at 230 this afternoon. It was feeding along the edge of the eastern seawall and appeared to be picking objects (Zebra mussels?) directly off the cement pier from just above the water line. There were two dull White- winged Scoters in the same area, along with the usual suspects. I also noted 2 ad. Glaucous Gull and 1 ad Iceland Gull among the 500 or so Herrings and Ring-bills on the ice.

Cheers,

Doug McRae

Directions: From Hwy 401, take exit #474 - Division St. (the eastern- most of the two Cobourg exits) and go south on Division St. to the Lake, which brings you to the eastern edge of the harbour.
