The first-winter King Eider was back in Cobourg harbour this afternoon,
Tuesday March 1, at least from 2.30-4pm, resting on the ice-covered rocks on
the harbour side of the south breakwater, about halfway between the small
harbour light and the western edge of the harbour. Amazing that the harbour
is frozen over again when it was completely open yesterday!
Still several hundred gulls on the ice including several Iceland and
Glaucous.

Directions:
Take Exit 474 from Hwy.401, south on Division Street to the harbour, drive
around to the large west parkinglot.
