Terrie Smith and I saw two adult small white geese flying out of Frenchman's Bay going east (and then presumably north) with the Canadas at 8 a.m. today. I'm thinking these are the Ross's Geese Dan Kazinski saw there yesterday, but we didn't see the beak well enough to be sure. Their small size relative to the Canadas certainly put them in the right size range. Looks like they head our early to feed so if you try I suggest you come early (before 8) or later in the day. One first winter Iceland Gull stood out amongst the hundreds of gulls there.
