Hello birders.

I've had a resident Cooper's Hawk feeding out of my yard all winter for the
past few years. Today it made a rather horrifying kill and I happened to catch
it on film. The images are on my blog at http://www.carolparafenko.com/blog.html
A warning in advance: some of you may or may not want to see the photos.
There was some behavioural information that might be interesting. Overall I
found the experience shocking. It was quite emotional even though I understood
that it was nature at work. I couldn't help but try and intervene even though I
knew it was the wrong thing to do. I welcome comments on this issue. I may not
post these sorts of photos again depending on the comments I receive.
Thank you in advance for your input.
