Hi Ont-Birders; Today the Bruce Birding Club went to Grand Bend to see the 5000 + tundra swans reported by Maris Apse. The swans were mostly seen at a distance but their calls could be easily heard through the damp air. The group was lucky enough to see 5 white-fronted geese near Greenway Road. In the nearby Pinery Provincial Park we saw the resident Tufted Titmice and Red-headed Woodpecker.
Directions; The swans are viewed from Greenway Road 1 kilometers east of highway 21. Greenway Road is 8 kilometers south of the stoplights in Grand Bend. The Pinery Provincial Park entrance is 9 kilometers south of Grand Bend.
