Hello, I apologize for emailing twice in one day but I couldn't believe my ears when I heard a Common Nighthawk calling on my property tonight around 9PM. It was calling steadily for the half an hour I was out there and I could hear a second bird calling in the distance. Both birds were located in the forest at the back of my yard in South Mountain. It seems a bit early but maybe the 10 degree weather is giving them a jump start on the season!
