Hi Ontbirders,

I just got a call from Sarah Petrasek who has found and photographed a Mew Gull at Cobourg Harbour! Margaret Bain and Richard Pope are there now watching it. The mantle colour is apparently just slightly darker than the ring-bills suggesting it is perhaps a different bird than the 13 Feb. bird that was at the same place.

Directions:

Cobourg Harbour is best reached by taking the easternmost of the two Hwy. 401 exits (Division St.). Follow Division south to the lake, which brings you to the eastern side of the harbour. Then head to the western side along the road following the shoreline ("The Esplanade" I think). Park where all the mallards and geese are at the western end of the harbour and the bird is sitting on the beach area just offshore.
