Ontbirders, After posting on 23 March about the Mew Gull at Cobourg Harbour, I received a photo of the spread wing showing the pattern of the primaries taken by Chris McConnell who kindly gave permission to post it on my website. This primary pattern together with the pale mantle suggests it is a Common Gull Larus canus canus. This is a very neat gull and I hope it stays around.
