Late post, but given the nice weekend ahead thought I would send a few sightings to anyone birding along the Don river.
>From the GO train: Directly below the Bloor/Danforth Viaduct on the River has been a Belted King Fisher with fantastic views every morning this week 8:30am he is seen there or just south of there sitting on drift wood in the river. This stretch of the river has been home to this fellow for the last several years. Also along the Don, at the Gerrard Street overpass, there is a trail along the rivers edge with great views of a tree on the DVP side of the Don that is home to roosting Black Crowned Night Herons. Saw them in the morning and again at 6:45pm.
