While taking a lunch break at Oshawa Second Marsh, I walked the berm along the west side of the marsh down to the lake. The resident male Barrow's Goldeneye was in a diverse flock of waterfowl 120m sw of the creek mouth. While looking through the flock I found and digiscoped what appears to be a Tufted Duck x Scaup hybrid. Also in the flock off the sw corner of the Oshawa Second Marsh was a female Harlequin.

Also offshore were Common Loon, cormorants and a pair of Blue-winged Teal.

In the Marsh itself viewed primarily from the GM platform were 21 species of waterfowl including 6 Tundra Swans, 2 Cackling Geese, 4 Ruddy Ducks, 193 Ring-necked Ducks and 36 Canvasbacks
