At about 7: 30 this evening, there was an Eastern Meadowlark perched on a fence post on 6th line just north of 27th SR, in Erin Township. This is located north of Hillsburgh and slightly west of Huxley Cemetery. Not sure if this is early for this species, but it was a welcome sight. Good birding.
