This morning at Reesor Pond I re-found the Greater Yellowlegs as
reported yesterday by Stan Long. It was stepping along the shore in
the far south-eastern corner of the pond.
A nice surprise was a pair of Caspian Terns on the north sand spit.
They were courting, or perhaps already paired up; at any rate, one
was feeding the other.
Other seasonal highlights were 3 or 4 Tree Swallows, a Killdeer, a
couple of very loud Song Sparrows, two Green-winged
Teal and a lone Pied-billed Grebe.
As per Stan, Reesor Pond lies just north of Hwy 7 on Reesor Road in
Markham.
