Hot on the heels of the Snow Goose extravaganza of last week there is now a
remarkable concentration of Bohemian Waxwing in the Ottawa area at the corner
of Blvd Gamelin and Promenade du Portage in Gatineau: our best estimate: 5,000.
Worth the quick trip over the provincial boundary to see! The area is being
patrolled by a Merlin, so every once in a while the whole lot takes off en
masse.
