The Western Grebe was still present at Colonel Samuel Smith Park in
Etobicoke at dusk this evening. It was less than 100 metres from shore,
near the westernmost headland. Approximate coordinates: 43.587148,

Note that this bird is not always easy to find. I failed to locate it
on Friday evening and Saturday morning despite long and thorough searches.
Colonel Samuel Smith Park is located at the south end of Kipling Avenue
(south of Lake Shore Blvd W). Take the main path south from the parking
lot and follow it out to the western headland.
