Hello, yesterday at 6 pm I found a male Red bellied woodpecker, flitting between Oak trees and feeders in a yard in Toronto, calling intermittently.
It was in the east end (Beaches), closest main intersection is Queen St. East and Main street. The yard is located at the junction of MacLean Ave (several blocks east of Main street) , and Pine crescent (3 blocks north of Queen St.). The house sits in the broad sweep of Pine Crescent as it climbs a hill, so the yard is fully visible from the street. Thanks, Laura Murray Toronto _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
