A large flock of mixed Greater & Lesser Yellowlegs has been in the flooded field just west of Walsingham today next to Big Creek. Take Highway 59 north from Long Point & go west less than 500 yards from the Village of Walsingham. The field is now less than 50% flooded exposing areas of mud to provide feeding areas for the Yellowlegs. More rain tomorrow will probably add to the flooding. A good opportunity to compare the size difference in the 2 species.
