This message has been approved by the Ontbirds Coordinator Hello all:
It's my great privilege to be the "Celebrity Birder" for OFO in this year's Birdathon. This is wonderful for me because it allows me to support both OFO and Bird Studies Canada in one fell swoop, and to do so by going birding! I'll be doing a Big Day with friends in Wellington County. We'll start pre-dawn at Luther Marsh, which is surely one of the unheralded gems of southern Ontario, and spend about 8 hours there, covering its many and diverse habitats. For the rest of the day we'll be filling in the gaps in our species list, ending up at Mountsberg Conservation area for a final few ticks. We'll be trying to break the county record of 147 species, set in 1987. To do so, we'll need a fall-out of migrants, which doesn't happen very often in land-locked Wellington County, and a lot of luck. Please support us on our Birdathon. The funds couldn't go to two finer organizations. You can do so through the following link: http://www.gifttool.com/athon/MyFundraisingPage?ID=1914&AID=1491&PID=191209 Thanks, Mike Cadman _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
