Hi all, Mark will probably complain about this posting, but there were a couple of birding moments that were especially fun at Pelee last weekend. I thought you might enjoy them too.
The first was a precocious catbird who meowed back and forth with me and interacted for several minutes near the large pond on the Tillman Trail - pics are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/creativetrade-offs/sets/72157626617068275/ The second set is of a couple of Chestnut-sided Warblers who were interacting right beside the path on the woodland trail. They didn't seem to care about passing birders. They were too engaged in their own activities. If any would care to identify sex of the birds and whether the activity was courting or territorial, I would appreciate knowing.
