Hey Birders,
 
Well a similar day to previous ones in terms of diversity and numbers of 
migrants. Many of the birds are the same from the last few days. I've listed 
some of the highlights below...
 
Connecticut Warbler - 1 male banded at Fish Point
Acadian Flycatcher - 2 birds at Fish Point (same birds as the last 2 days)
Prothonotary Warbler - same dude hanging out, I think his lady friend is still 
with him....
 
Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 first-year bird seen in the fields near Scudder
 
Shorebirds are trickling in, there were 20 Semipalmated Plovers in the fields 
off Henderson Road with several other shorebirds.
 
Tomorrow and the next few days look like they have the potential to be really 
good! With a 'back-log' of migration and with the temperatures increasing and 
with winds projected to be from the south there should definitely be new 
migrants around.

Pelee Island Heritage Centre West Dock, Pelee Island, Ontario, N0R 1M0 (519) 
724-2291 "pimuseum" <pimuseum at hotmail.com> The Heritage Centre is open from 
10 am - 5 pm daily. The foyer contains a 'sightings board' listing May bird 
sightings (open 24 hours). Lighthouse Point is on the NE corner of the island, 
Sheridan Point on the NW corner, Mill Point on the SE corner, and Fish Point on 
the SW corner, due south of the West Dock. 
 
Pelee Island Bird Observatory (PIBO) continues its daily banding and 
censusoperation. Visitors are welcome. For more information about PIBO please

Pelee Island can be reached by ferry leaving Leamington several times daily.
