The Least Bittern was still there at 2pm when i left, was out in the open on a trail doing it's freeze motion! Also in the area there was a Common Moorhen. If you walk north from the parking lot along the creek there were a few warblers, had Canada, Wilson's, Magnolias and others. Also roosting Black-crowned Night-herons. Colonel Sam Smith Park is at the bottom of Kipling Avenue, just take the Kipling ave south exit from the Gardiner Expressway and follow to the end, park in the parking lot and walk along the bay, the least bittern was hanging opposite the hill where they do the Whimbrel counts _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
