Greetings Ontbirders Today at noon there were 50+ Whimbrel at Owen Pt. Also on the beach there were 3 Ruddy Turnstones, 6 Black-bellied Plovers, 30 Dunlin, 1 Red Knot, 30+ Semipalmated Sandpipers and smaller numbers of Least Sandpiper,Semipalmated Plovers, Killdeer and Spotted Sandpipers in smaller numbers.
Bill Gilmour To reach Presqu'ile Provincial Park, follow the signs from Brighton. Locations within the Park are shown on a map at the back of a tabloid that is available at the Park gate. Access to the offshore islands is restricted at this time of year to prevent disturbance to the colonial nesting birds there.
