Hi all,

A male Hooded Warbler was heard and seen in Heart Lake Conservation Area this
morning. It was singing in a swampy area along a small creek running through a
forest in the northwest part of the park.

To get to Heart Lake CA take highway 410 to Sandalwood Parkway in Brampton.
Turn
left (west) onto to Sandalwood and go to the next light which is Heart Lake
Road. Turn right and the park entrance will be on your left - about 1 km from
the light. Go into the park (admission fee required) and follow the road to the
right and go to the Lakemount picnic ground at the end of the paved road. In
the
northwest corner of the picnic ground there is a trail entrance leading into
the
forest. The bird is about 50m in and to the left of the trail along the north
side of the small stream.
