Further to Karl Egressy's post yesterday the Red-necked Grebes nesting in Bronte Harbour are now down to one egg. This egg is very fresh looking, likely laid this morning. There had been three eggs previously.

The Cliff Swallows nesting on the Compass Restaurant are having a very good year thanks to the abundant mud for nest construction.

Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Road (Oakville), go to the lake and turn left. The grebe nest is just east of the Compass restaurant. Also accessible by Oakville Transit routes 2 and 14 from the Bronte and Oakville GO Train Stations respectively.
