Given the number of sightings this season, any predictions as to "the when &
where" of the first nesting attempt in southern Ontario?

Subject: [Ontbirds] American White Pelican at Second Marsh
Hello All,
Jeff Balsdon and I stopped briefly at Second Marsh near Oshawa this
evening and almost unsurprisingly observed an American White Pelican at
the west side of the marsh. There are several Mute Swans about, so pay
close attention to any large white birds with their heads tucked into
their bodies. I've sort of been glazing over the reports lately so sorry
if this bird has already been reported and I am just a little slow.
Cheers,
Jon
Second Marsh can be accessed from Hwy 401 by exiting at the Bloor St/
Harmony Rd exit and continuing south of the 401 on Farewell St. towards
the lake. Turn left onto Colonel Sam Dr. and following until you reach
the GM building. You are able to follow a trail to an observation
platform overlooking the marsh.
