The pelican was at Second Marsh this evening (July 4) at 7:30 p.m. It
was quite active. Flying around and landing several times.
Most of the parking lot had been torn up and from the looks of things
I'm assuming they will be repaving it. When we pulled out, being the
last car there, they closed the construction gate.

Directions:
Second Marsh can be accessed from Hwy 401 by exiting at the Bloor St/
Harmony Rd exit Oshawa and continuing south of the 401 on Farewell
St. towards the lake. Turn left onto Colonel Sam Dr. (Wentworth St
goes right here and is better signed) and following until you reach
the GM building. You are able to follow a trail to an observation
platform overlooking the marsh.
I would think until the lot is repaved you will have to take the long
way around.
