Hi Ontbirders, My Mom and I relocated the Cattle Egret at Isaac Lake at around 10:35 this morning. When we arrived it was still resting on a hay bale, but at around 10:50 it started feeding in the surrounding grass and we were no longer able to see it. We left the area at around 11:30, and the bird was still not visible.
A photo can be viewed at: http://btoewsphotos.zenfolio.com/p939163745/h289f99f4#h289f99f4 Unfortunately, the image quality is fairly low as the bird was far away from the road. A scope would be helpfull for viewing. Good birding, Brendan Toews Directions from Wiarton: take Highway 6 north out of Wiarton, after a short distance turn left on Isaac Lake Road. The bird was in with the hay bales on the right side of the road, across the marsh. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
