Folks: At 10:30 this morning, I had 2 Red-necked Phalaropes(a juvenile and a molting adult) in the second cell at Exeter lagoons. For a brief time, they appeared to be joined by a 3rd phalarope which I took to be a non-breeding adult Wilson's Phalarope. It acted more skittish than the other two. It was not with them when I left. Also of note, an adult Bald Eagle, Ruddy ducks, usual non-exciting shorebirds. Lagoons are a 1/4 mile south of 83 highway on Airport Line. A free access permit is required for permissions to go on the grounds.
Loving summer while it lasts. Rick Thornton Exeter _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization. Send bird reports to [email protected] For information about ONTBIRDS visit http://www.ofo.ca/
