This afternoon from 1 until we left at 2:30, there was a juvenile Least Tern at Rattray Marsh. Best seen from the lake side of the marsh. We saw it flying, fishing, and resting on the mud.
The usual suspects are also there - Great Egret, Green Heron, Night Herons, Kingfishers, Blue Herons. Heidi Rattray Marsh is in Mississauga, south of Lakeshore Road, at the end of Bexhill. Follow the path down and then the boardwalk to the left until you find the path to the beach just past the viewing platform. Walk along the beach until you reach the channel and look to your right for the marsh. > _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
