Sorry for the late post. For the duration of the summer, there have been a pair of nighthawks to be found, most reliably on Danforth Avenue, east of Pape. Yesterday night, I noticed one of them swooping down along the traffic, just above the height of the cars. (The chimney swifts, would do the same thing: fly just above the traffic, at Danforth and Carlaw; when they were still here.) It was a bit surreal, to be sure.
