Hello birders. Four Common Nighthawks chased insects and flew over the south end of Guelph this evening, heading south toward the lake. In the early 1980s, the "beeping" sound of Nighthawks could be heard all night long above the streets of downtown Guelph during the summer. In the past nine years in Guelph, I have only heard one resident Nighthawk. A pity.
