----------------------------------------------------------------------

Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Jeff Schultz

Observers: Don Sherwood, Jonathan Stein, Patrick Mulawa, Rodney Laura

Weather:
Blustery and overcast, the temperature dropped precipitously today, going
no higher than the low 60s. Strong northwest winds failed to bring in an
influx of migrants.

Raptor Observations:
Sharpies and kestrels dominated the day. A lone redtail tried to sneak by
but was detected.

Non-raptor Observations:
There were two cape may warblers hanging out in the spruce near the count
site during the morning hours. Also of note was a cackling goose seen
together with a pair of canada geese.

Predictions:
With this front finally pushing its way out of the area tonight, there is a
good chance tomorrow will be our most productive day of the season so far.
Partly sunny with temperatures in the upper 60s and strong north winds sure
sounds like a recipe for a pleasant, raptor-filled day. We shall see.
