The winds were not favourable today but a few birds did show up in the morning 
before the winds shifted to a southerly direction. 43 species total.

Highlights:

Bald Eagle 1 immature
Peregrine Falcon 1 adult
Sharp-shinned Hawk - about 19 (I left my notes at the watch)
Copper's Hawk - 1
Northern Harrier  - 3 migrants
Turkey Vulture - 2 or 3 migrants
American Kestrel - about 9

other birds:

Blue Jay - 773 (this is an actual count of migrating individuals)
only one Canada Goose !!!!
4 hummingbirds
4 pipits
one Virginia rail (singing?)
one Common Gallinule
one Great Egret
Common Yellowthroat - singing
Black-thr. Blue, Palm, Yellow-rumped, Nashville Warblers

Weather- Overcast, light to moderate winds from NE shifting to east.

Directions: Exit from the 401 at Brock St. in Whitby, go south on Brock St. to 
Victoria St. Go west on Victoria St. to Halls Road. Go south on Halls Road to 
the second walkway going east to Cranberry Marsh.
