I spotted a group of 5 Sanderlings while out with my fiance tonight around 6:05 pm on Grimsby Harbour along the river close to the harbour. The group flew away at 6:13pm past the light beaken in Grimsby heading in an westerly direction. I will be going back tomorrow morning and I will post my sitings on my twitter immediately if I re-spot them to give someone else in the local area a chance to see them. Then when I get home I will post it here if I see them again. It is my third group of them in this area this year.
Happy Birding, Sincerely, David T. Chapman Twitter @Northof44Pics www.naturebirdsandweather.com Directions: Coming from Hamilton on the QEW turn off at Christie Street. Then take a left over top of the QEW. Turn right at Olive street. Turn left at Elizabeth street. Follow that road until the end and you'll see a little area that goes down towards a building straight ahead and you'll see the lake, benches with lots of room for parking. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
