Weather: Heavy clouds for most of the day with a few brief breaks of sun. Temperatures ranged from 13-18 degrees C. Winds out of the southwest, increasing in intensity as the day progressed. Raptor Observations: A very nice day of migration. Sharp-shinned Hawks dominated, and falcons entertained late. Non-raptor Observations: Fairly quite non-raptor wise. Lots of Caspian Terns (52) were moving west early this morning. The warbler flock at the tower was once again dominated by Nashville Warblers feeding in the weeds and goldenrod. Blue Jays took a bit of a breather today, with only 12650 counted. American Goldfinches went past in decent numbers again (757).
