This morning at Shirelys Bay, Ottawa there were many shorebirds as was
reported yesterday by Mark Gawn. I was there from 8:30 to 9:15 with good
visibility and no rain. Highlights were a Marbled Godwit and a juvenile
Red-necked Phalarope. Also present were Black-bellied (2) and Semi-palmate
Plover (2), White-rumped (50) and Pectoral (20) Sandpipers, Dunlin and
Semipalmated Sandpipers. Nice flock of Yellow-rumped Warbler in the carex
along the waterfront.
