Good Evening! Highway #60 was great for Common Loon's today by Barry's Bay, Ontario. I was out doing photography of the fall colours when I noticed my first loon. That was on Highway #62 just south of Barry's Bay on Kamaniskeg Lake. The other 2 loons were spotted on Highway 60 on Carson Lake and Trout Lake. All loons I spotted today are changing to there winter colours. Also a side note, the fall colours are very close to peak in this region.
Best of luck to anyone who goes to look for them. The one on Trout Lake was very accomodating for close looks, pictures and video. Feel free to email me if you have any questions at [email protected]. All loons were close enough to shore for good viewing when we saw them today. I hope others have the same luck. Here is a short video of one of the loons, the one on Trout Lake. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/David-T-Chapman/173134962767601 www.naturebirdsandweather.com Twitter @Northof44Pics Sincerely, David T.
