Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 12:00:00
Total observation time: 4 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers:

Visitors:
Thanks to Paul Cypher, Jim Maki and Andrew Sturgess for keeping me company
before the rain.

Weather:
Overcast and drizzly during the morning hours, the rain began in earnest
around 1 pm.

Raptor Observations:
There wasn't much on the move. The first bird of the day, an adult male
northern harrier, proved to be the highlight.

Non-raptor Observations:
A common loon was observed flying overhead during the 11 o'clock hour.
Red-winged and rusty blackbirds continue to pass over with a few common
grackles mixed in. A large flock of yellow-rumped warblers and a small
flock of dark-eyed juncos could be found foraging in the trees by the count
site. Hermit thrushes were reportedly abundant along the trails.

Predictions:
As of now, conditions look favorable tomorrow with partly cloudy skies and
moderate winds out of the west-northwest. Only a slight (10 percent) chance
of precipitation.
