Counter today were Colin and Jim...thanks guys for getting some kind of count done today. Weather: Another wet and vey windy day...seems like the only weather we've seen this October! Winds were very strong from the s for the short time the counters were observing. Temp started at 10C and then dropped a couple of degrees to 8C. Solid cloud cover for the count period with drizzle and eventually rain at which point the counters shut it down for the day. Raptor Observations: All 198 birds spotted today were TV's except for a lone Osprey. Non-raptor Observations: Am. Crows were on the move again today but in smaller numbers than yesterday. Also spotted were Am. Robins in small flocks...and several flocks of waterfowl.
