Lac Deschennes has very good numbers of grebes today; my count from various
stops along the Ontario side was 65 Horned and 57 Red-necked, more were present
too distant to identify. Two Bonaparte's Gull were present off Alymer Island
(visible from the Shirley's Bay boat launch) and there are about 60 Brant at
Andrew Hayden Park, which also hosted 2 Cackling Geese this morning. The
Razorbill was still present just east of Deschennes Rapids (on the Quebec side)
as of 12:30, often close to a loafing Red-throated Loon.
