Six Snow Geese were in a corn field with hundreds of Canada Geese on the east side of Hwy 21 just north of North Bruce. Approximately 1,000 Snow Buntings in fields along Hwy 9 about 3 miles east of Kincardine. The past few weeks have brought large numbers of Rough-legged Hawks to the area and wintering waterfowl are increasing on Lake Huron and inland lakes and rivers. Michigan and other eastern American states are starting to receive reports of Selasphorus hummingbirds. Please keep your eyes open and report any hummingbirds to the Ontario Hummingbird Project as quickly as possible. www.ontariohummingbirds.ca 519-797-1313 Good birding, Cindy Cartwright Saugeen Shores _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
