Yesterday (November 17, at about 10:30 am I saw a snowy owl on Hwy 12, about 2 km north of Sunderland sitting on a fence post on the east side of the highway. We were so close to it that binoculars were not needed. Although it was aware of our presence, it certainly did not have a problem with our being so close and we viewed it for a long time.
