At Ottawa beach this evening there was a good concentration of gull including a
very co-operative 1st winter Thayer's Gull (found by Tom Hanrahan). Also
present off shore was a leucistic Red-necked Grebe, very white and quite an odd
sight to see. Other birds seen included 1 White-winged Scoter and 1 Black
Scoter.
Ottawa Beach is on the north side of Carling just east of Holy Acres Road.
