A Snowy Owl was observed at the east end of Cobourg on the property of Knott Lumber at 1230h at the corner of Dodge St and Thompson St.. It was also seen at 1535h. During periods of observation it often stood on the ground, pies of lumber and once on the roof of the main building. The Short-eared Owl was observed in the woodlot at the north end of Knott lumber's property... easily seen from Dodge Street at approximately 1540h. Both owls have been most easily observed from Dodge St.
Directions: Take Exit 474 from Hwy.401, south on Division Street to King Street. Turn left (east) and proceed to Willmott Street; turning right (south) proceed on Willmott to either Dodge Rd (first street on left, this road becomes Dodge St when it turns south) or Thompson St (second street on left). Proceed to the intersection of Thomson and Dodge. Knott Lumber is on the north-east corner.
