Ontbirders and Ontbirdettes,

This morning at 10:00 AM, I had a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER eating highbush
cranberry in the ravine area of Highland Woods. The bird is quite active, and
was fairly noisy. It was with chickadees and a downy woodpecker.
This is my first Middlesex January record for this species, and is a quality
Middlesex winter record.

There are also a small group of 3 PINE SISKINS that have been
sporadically visiting my feeders since January 2nd,initially observed by Krista
Mandula and I, mixed with AMERICAN
GOLDFINCH. They are back today and are fairly regular.

While not provincially significant, PINE SISKINS have been very scarce in
Middlesex County this winter, so it is fairly noteworthy.

My feeders are located on Highland Woods, in south London.

>From Wharncliffe and Commissioner's, travel south on Wharncliffe, and
then east on Highview. Turn left into Highview Glen and park in the
visitor's parking. Walk behind the buildings and view various feeders
people have out. Then follow the stream and walk down the ravine for the YRWA.

Best in birding,
