Sprung is Spring !

March 1st, first Grackles showed in Markham while at Reesor Pond
one over-wintering Cackling Goose - steep-brow, bunty bill - was
found amongst a flock of 200+ Canada Geese.
 
This am - March 2nd - at Reesor Pond, a pair of Trumpeter Swans
seen by Ted George and wife flew in to stand on the ice - one of
them distinguished by its bright orange legs was a rare specimen
of a leucystic Trumpeter Swan.     

Also : 1 male Common Merganser and a Great Blue Heron.
 
Reesor Pond lies just north of Hwy 407 on Reesor Rd in Markham
