Today my friend Heather and I birded along the Niagara River from Fort Erie to
Niagara Falls. During this trip we saw large numbers of each of the following:
AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS, GADWALLS, BUFFLEHEADS, RED HEADS, CANVAS BACK DUCKS,
GREATER SCAUP, LESSER SCAUP, RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS, COMMON MERGANSERS, COMMON
GOLDEN-EYE, MALLARDS, CANADA GEESE. We also saw a few AMERICAN CROWS, a
REDTAIL HAWK, an unidentified hawk, a GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL and some TURKEY
VULTURES. Stopping at Niagara on the Lake on our way home we saw a number of
LONGTAILS. Barb Wright Beamsville, [email protected]
