12.30 pm - Reesor Pond - if a low-flying Great Blue Heron had not scared a
tight-knit
gaggle of 8 Cackling Geese onto their feet I'd have missed seeing them - I'd
guess they
were early migrants - also Bufflehead, Goldeneye, a pair of Northern Pintails
and 10
Common Mergansers were enjoying open water among 5/400 Canadas - Reesor Pond
lies just north of Hwy 407 on Reesor Road in Markham.
